Youth Recollection and Taizé Prayer at Minor Basilica, Harihar, Diocese of Shimoga 

Davanagere, March 9, 2026: A special Youth Recollection and Taizé Prayer was organized at the Minor Basilica, Harihar on March 8, 2026 from 5:30pm to 7pm. The altar was beautifully decorated by the youth using lights and bricks, with a red cloth as the background. The arrangement created a peaceful and prayerful atmosphere and inspired everyone present.

Many members of YCS and ICYM, along with other children and youth, actively participated in the recollection. The program began with the Way of the Cross, which helped the participants reflect deeply on the passion and suffering of Jesus.

Following this, the Taizé prayer was held in a calm and meditative setting. Rev. Fr. George K. A., the Parish Priest and Spiritual Director, led the prayer service and guided the youth in reflection and devotion.

The recollection and Taizé prayer helped the youth experience a deeper sense of prayer, silence, and closeness to God.
