
DELTA Program Concludes with Joy and Spiritual Fulfilment in Bellary
Ballari, March 2, 2026: The Diocesan Executive Leaders Training (DELTA) program, held in Bellary on February 28 and March 1, came to a close, leaving a lasting impact on the participants. The event kicked off with an inaugural ceremony, followed by group formation and activities, setting the tone for a spiritually enriching experience.
Fr. Lourd Raj, former Karnataka Regional Youth Director, led a thought-provoking session on youth and leadership, while Ms. Supriya V., former CCBI ICYM General Secretary from the Diocese of Shimoga, shared insights on balancing leadership and professional life, as well as managing stress. The participants also engaged in group dynamics, outdoor activities, and a rosary prayer session, led by Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, Karnataka Regional Youth Director.
The highlight of the program was the visit to the “Calvary Shrine,” and the newly built shrine of the Diocese of Bellary near T.B. Dam, where Most Rev. Dr. Henry D’Souza, Chairman of Karnataka Regional Youth Commission and Bishop of the Diocese of Bellary, offered a Holy Eucharist. He prayed for the youth mission of the region and blessed the youth leaders. He also distributed small crosses to the youth leaders.
The participants then visited Tungabhadra Dam, enjoying the scenic beauty and camaraderie. The concluding session was marked by certificate distribution and a lively dance performance, bringing the program to a joyful close.
From the Diocese of Shimoga ICYM President Ms Lenny D’Sa, Secretary Ms Nikitha Sofia, Liturgy Secretary Ms Beena Farias, Boy Representative Mr Suhas Martin, Girl Representative Ms Susanna and Ms Supriya V joined as resource person.
The DELTA program was a testament to the power of faith, leadership, and community, leaving the participants inspired and equipped for their future endeavors. This program was organized by KRYC and hosted by the Diocese of Bellary. RYD Fr. Ashwin Cardoza proposed a vote of thanks.
