ICYM & YCS Youth Render Voluntary Service at Harihar Basilica Annual Feast, Diocese of Shimoga

Shimoga: Members of ICYM and YCS from the Youth Commission of the Diocese of Shimoga rendered voluntary service on September 7 and 8 at the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Health, Harihara, on the occasion of the Annual Feast.

Diocesan Youth President Ms Lenny D’Sa took the initiative and leadership in mobilising the youth volunteers. The Rector of the Basilica, Rev. Fr. George K. A., warmly welcomed the young volunteers and expressed his appreciation for their willingness to serve.

Youth Director of the Diocese of Shimoga Fr. Franklin D’Souza accompanied and guided the volunteers, along with Fr. Glanson D’Souza and the Assistant Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga.

The young volunteers assisted in arranging chairs, guiding and managing pilgrims in the church and its surroundings, and maintaining order during the celebrations. Their dedicated and selfless service contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the Annual Feast.

At the conclusion of their service, Rev. Fr. George K. A., Rector of the Basilica, thanked the youth for their generous and selfless service and blessed them.

A total of 12 youth actively participated in the voluntary service.
