Carmel Deanery Meeting held at Good Shepherd Church, Gopala, Shivamogga.

A Carmel Deanery Meeting convened at Good Shepherd Church, Gopala, Shivamogga, on February 9, 2026. The Carmel Deanery Priests assembled at Gopala at 5:30 p.m. The meeting commenced at 6 p.m. with Eucharistic adoration, guided by Fr. Franklin D’Souza. All participating priests offered prayers for the Deanery and the diocese.

The meeting began in the hall at 6:30 p.m. Dean Msgr. Stany D’Souza led the meeting. Fr. Santhosh Almeida welcomed everyone. Fr. Jostro MSFS, Secretary, presented the minutes of the previous meeting.

Director of the Youth Commission, Fr. Franklin D’Souza, DBCLC Director, Fr. Santhosh Almeida, Family Commission Director, Fr. Venil D’Silva, Education Commission Director, Fr. Roshan Pinto, and Social Service Society Director, Fr. Pius D’Souza, shared their activities and future events based on the diocesan Pastoral Plan. Then, parish priests shared their innovations in pastoral ministry.

Fr. Lancy D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Fr. Franklin D’Souza led the Angelus and prayer before meals.
