World Environment Day Celebration at Christ the king church Jog Falls, Diocese of Shimoga 

Shivamogga,  June 9, 2026: On 7 June 2026,The ICYM Jog Falls joyfully celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a commitment to environmental stewardship.

The program was attended by the Parish Priest Fr Salvador Rodrigues, PPC members, YCS members, children, women, and parishioners, who came together to promote awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving nature.

As part of the celebration, participants actively took part in a tree-planting drive on the church premises. Various saplings were planted, symbolizing hope for a greener and healthier future. The initiative encouraged everyone to take responsibility for caring for the environment and highlighted the role each individual can play in conserving nature.

The event served as a meaningful reminder of our duty to protect God’s creation and foster sustainable living practices. Through this collective effort, ICYM Jog Falls contributed to creating a cleaner, greener, and more environmentally friendly community.
