Youth Retreat at Our Lady of Vailankanni Church, Old Town, Bhadravati

Shivamogga,  November 27, 2025: On the 18th and 19th of October, Our Lady of Vailankanni Church, Gandhinagar, Bhadravathi, organized a spiritual renewal retreat for the ICYM and YCS members of the parish. The retreat was prayerfully led by the team from Jesus the Living Word Ministries, Bangalore, who conducted inspiring sessions filled with the Word of God, praise and worship, and personal sharing.

The retreat was coordinated under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Steevan D’Sa, the Parish Priest, and Sr. Shobhana, who took special care in organizing the program for the spiritual growth of the youth. The sessions were held at the Providence Hall in the presbytery premises.

A total of 73 young people participated with great enthusiasm. They were provided with refreshments, snacks, and lunch throughout the two days. The participants expressed that the Word of God deeply touched their hearts, and the powerful testimonies shared by the youth members of the retreat team inspired them to strengthen their faith and relationship with Christ.

 It was indeed a grace-filled and memorable experience for all the young participants. Many expressed their desire to have such spiritual renewal retreats at regular intervals, to continue growing in faith and fellowship.
