Karnataka Regional Youth Convention in the Diocese of Shimoga
Shivamogga, July 30, 2025: Karnataka Regional Youth Convention (KRYC) Cross traveled through the parishes of Vianney Deanery, namely: Anandapuram, Hosanagara, Jogfalls, Kable, Kargal, Nagar, Sagar, Soraba, Talaguppa, and Tirthahalli. On 29, 2025, KRYC Cross reached Carmel Deanery that was received by Ms Susanna, Carmel Deanery Youth President, from Mr Sweetan Lima, Youth President of Christ the King Church, Jogfalls, and youth representatives of Jogfalls: Mr Sonal Pereira, Mr. Justine Lopes, and Mr. Chetan I. R.
Ms Sannidhi, Youth President of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga and youth representatives were present together with
Fr Franklin D’Souza, Diocesan Youth Director, and Fr Jostro MSFS, Assistant Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga.
Fr Franklin D’Souza led the prayer and blessed the youth. KRYC Cross will travel throughout Carmel Deanery in the month of August.
Karnataka Region comprises 14 dioceses. This year KRYC is celebrating the Ruby Jubilee of its existence. The Regional Convention will take place from October 2 to 5, 2025, in the Diocese of Karwar. Around 2,000 young leaders from the 14 dioceses will take part in the Jubilee Convention.
