
Karnataka Regional Youth Commission organised DELTA Program at Bhadravati
Shivamogga, May 12, 2025: The Diocesan Executive Committees from the South and North zones participated in the DELTA leadership training program, held May 10-11, 2025, at the Bhodhana Pastoral Centre in Bhadravati Diocese, Karnataka.
The inaugural day commenced promptly at 9:00 AM with the participation of Nine dioceses: Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Bellary, Belgaum, Bhadravati, Bangalore, Gulbarga, Mandya and Mysore The program featured interactive activities, group formation exercises, and icebreaker sessions. Participants completed short essays on assigned topics and elected group leadership (president, secretary, and vice-president). Following a luncheon, groups submitted their reports, which were followed by a session on technology and artificial intelligence. The day concluded with an opening ceremony, Mass, adoration, dinner, and cultural performances.
Day 2 commenced with Mass, followed by a meditation session, breakfast, and informative briefings on canon law, Catholic marital life, the Karnataka region, KRYC, and ICYM. A discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence within the Catholic Church generated engaging dialogue. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, presentation of mementos, and valuable insights into various Church initiatives.
The Shivamogga diocese team consisted of Fr. Franklin D’Souza (DYD), Mr. Suhas Martin (President), Ms. Lenny D’Sa (Secretary), Mr. Stephan Lobo (Joint Secretary), Mr. Chethan I. R. (Boy Representative), and Ms. Beena Farias (Liturgy Representative).
