ICYM Youth Pilgrim Walk – A Journey of Faith in the Jubilee Year, ICYM Unit Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga 

Shivamogga, December 12, 2025: In the spirit of the Jubilee Year, the ICYM Youth of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga, went on a Pilgrim Walk from the Cathedral to Good Shepherd Church, Gopala on December 11, 2025. A good number of youth took part with enthusiasm and prayerful hearts.

At 5:30pm before the walk began, Msgr Fr Stany D’Souza, the Parish Priest, blessed the youth, prayed for them, and shared the importance of undertaking a Pilgrim Walk as an act of faith and renewal. The presence of Fr Venil D’Silva and Fr Johnson SJ, further encouraged and motivated the young people.

The walk offered the youth a quiet time for reflection, fellowship, and spiritual enrichment. Fr Jostro MSFS, the ICYM Coordinator, accompanied the group, encouraging and supporting them along the way. The Pilgrim Walk concluded at Good Shepherd Church with a brief moment of prayer and thanksgiving, marking a meaningful step in the youth’s journey during this Jubilee Year.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the youth, whose enthusiasm, pilgrimage spirit, and unwavering faith made this walk a living testimony of hope. Each footstep of this journey reminded us of the blessings of oneness, love, and the promise of new beginnings. Looking ahead with confidence, we pray that the light they carry may inspire the entire faithful to walk boldly in faith.
