Taizé Prayer held at Our Lady of Velankanni Church, Old Town, Bhadravati.

Shivamogga, March 26, 2026: A Taize prayer was organized by the youth at Our Lady of Velankanni Church, Bhadravathi, on March 23, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The prayer, led by Fr. Nishant Anthony D’Costa, helped devotees experience the presence of Jesus Christ through silence, song, and meditation.

The Taize chants, sung softly and repetitively, engaged everyone in deep prayer. Albin added to the devotion with his keyboard accompaniment. After a Bible reading, a few minutes of silence allowed the faithful to connect with God personally.

The prayer included special intercessions for world peace, families, youth, the sick, and the church. The event fostered a sense of community and helped deepen the devotees’ relationship with God.

A meal was arranged for all attendees after the prayer. Parish Priest Fr Steven D’Sa, welcomed and thanked Fr Nishanth D’Costa and the faithful.
