Just as a bud silently holds the promise of a vibrant, full-bloomed flower, each of you carries immense God-given potential to bring beauty, hope, and meaningful transformation to our world.
In a fast-changing culture that often offers fleeting happiness, I encourage you to seek the true joy that never fades. As Pope Francis beautifully reminds us in Christus Vivit, “Christ is alive and he wants you to be alive! He is in you, he is with you and he never abandons you.” When you anchor your life firmly in Christ through prayer and the Gospel, your energy finds its true direction and purpose.
Through Yuva Mitra, the Youth Commission of our diocese, our mission is to walk closely alongside you on your journey of faith, personal growth, and leadership. We want to empower you to discover your unique gifts and use them courageously for the service of others. Do not let self-doubt, fear, or the distractions of the modern world hold you back from living a life of extraordinary virtue. Echoing the timeless call of Pope St. John Paul II at World Youth Day, I say to you: “Do not be afraid to be the saints of the new millennium!” Holiness is not a distant dream reserved for a few, but a daily invitation for every young person to love generously, stand up for truth, and promote justice in society.
Always remember that you are not merely preparing for the future or waiting for tomorrow to make an impact. As Pope Francis powerfully declared to the young people of the world, “You are the NOW of God.” You are the vibrant present of our Church and the living heart of our diocesan community today. As you navigate your studies, careers, and personal callings, know that you are supported by our constant prayers, blessings, and paternal affection.
