FR. FRANKLIN D’SOUZA LEADS ANOINTING ADORATION AND HEALING PRAYERS AT CCBI NYC WITNESS 2026 IN BENGALURU
Bengaluru, October 16, 2026: The National Youth Convention (NYC) WITNESS 2026, organized by the CCBI Youth Commission in collaboration with the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), witnessed a powerful moment of prayer and spiritual renewal on Friday morning, October 16, at Christ Junior College, Hosur Main Road, Bengaluru.
At 7:00 a.m., Rev. Fr. Franklin D’Souza led the Anointing Adoration and healing prayers, inviting the young participants to encounter the healing, comforting, and transforming presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. The prayer session provided an opportunity for the youth to deepen their faith, experience God’s love, and entrust their lives, struggles, and aspirations to the Lord.
The Adoration and healing prayers were a significant spiritual highlight of the convention, which was held from October 13 to 16, 2026, under the inspiring theme, “Take courage! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). The theme encouraged young people to face the challenges of life with courage, hope, and unwavering trust in Jesus Christ, who has conquered the world.
Following the Adoration, Most Rev. Dr. Ignatius D’Souza, Bishop of Bareilly and Chairman of the CCBI Youth Commission, led a special blessing prayer for the young participants. His prayer invoked God’s blessings upon the youth, praying that they might remain steadfast in faith, grow in holiness, and become courageous witnesses of Christ in their families, communities, and society.
At the conclusion of the prayer session, Rev. Fr. John Barman MSFS, Executive Secretary of the CCBI Youth Commission, expressed his gratitude to Fr. Franklin D’Souza for leading the Adoration and healing prayers and for his spiritual ministry to the young people gathered for the convention.
The NYC WITNESS 2026 brought together young people in a spirit of faith, fellowship, worship, and mission. Through moments of prayer, spiritual reflection, and communal celebration, the convention sought to inspire a new generation of Catholic youth to live their Christian vocation with conviction and courage.
The morning’s Adoration and healing prayers served as a reminder that genuine renewal begins with an encounter with Jesus Christ. Strengthened by the Eucharistic presence of the Lord and encouraged by the special blessing, the young participants were invited to go forth as witnesses of hope, proclaiming through their lives the victory of Christ and the message of the Gospel.
