DSC Prayer Meeting & Adoration Held in Kargal, Diocese of Shimoga 

Theme: Ek Shaam Yesu Ke Naam (One evening with the Lord Jesus)

Date: 3rd July 2026, Venue: Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Kargal, Diocese of Shimoga 

The Diocesan Service Commission [DSC] prayer meeting and Adoration was held at Kargal Parish on 3rd July 2026

The program began at 5:30 PM with Eucharistic Adoration, followed by Praise and Worship, the Holy Rosary, Bible Reading, Divine Mercy Chaplet, and Intercessory Prayers.  

Fr Roman Pinto, Parish Priest of St Francis Xavier’s Church, Kable, Diocese of Shimoga,

led the participants in reflecting on the Word of God. He beautifully explained the love and sacrifice of Jesus, calling everyone to deeper faith and trust in the Lord. The evening also included a special healing session.

In the second part, the ICYM of Kargal, along with parishioners, Religious Sisters, and the faithful, continued with Praise and Worship. The youth animated the thematic Word of God and led powerful intercessory prayers.  

A significant moment of the evening was the combination of Eucharistic Adoration and Veneration of the Cross. Many people came forward with lighted candles for various intentions and placed them before the Crucifix as a sign of surrender and prayer.

A large gathering of youth, children, and parishioners participated with great devotion in this beautiful prayer service.

Rev. Fr Lawrence D’Souza, the Parish Priest of Kargal, thanked the DSC team led by Coordinator John Lobo and team, Fr Franklin D’Souza, DSC Spiritual Director, Fr Roman Pinto, the Religious Sisters, the youth, and all the participants for their presence and active involvement.

The blessed evening concluded at 8:45 PM with a prayer of thanksgiving.
