
Fr. Franklin D’Souza Visits Youth of St. Francis Xavier Church, Kable, Shivamogga
Shivamogga, May 18, 2026; Fr. Franklin D’Souza, Diocesan Youth Director, visited St. Francis Xavier Church, Kable on May 17, 2026, where he celebrated the Holy Eucharist at 8:30 am, coinciding with the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ. In his homily, he reflected on the day’s readings, offering a beautiful and inspiring message to the faithful.
Following the Mass at 10am, Fr. D’Souza met with young people from the ICYM (Indian Catholic Youth Movement) and YCS (Young Christian Students Movement) units. He engaged with them on the challenges faced by youth today and shared insights from the 26th CCBI (Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India) document on youth.
This visit highlights Fr. D’Souza’s commitment to nurturing young Catholics and guiding them in their faith journey.
Parish Priest Fr. Roman Pinto organized this event. The youth thanked Fr. Franklin D’Souza for the inspiring insights he gave.
Meanwhile, he also visited the houses of two seminarians who are studying for the Diocese of Shimoga. He blessed their parents and thanked them for their charity towards the Church.
