
YCS/YSM India IV National Youth Leadership Training Program (NSLTP)
Haryana, May 25, 2025: The YCS/YSM India National Youth Leadership Training Program (NSLTP) was held at the Shofar Convention Centre in Gurugram, Haryana, Archdiocese of Delhi from May 17-22, 2025. The theme of the program was “Gen Z for a Self-Sustaining World,” with a focus on three thrusts: Voice of the Voiceless, Healthy Living, and Environmental Sustenance.
The program brought together over 130 delegates from various dioceses across India, including student delegates, animators, and chaplains. The program included a mix of keynote addresses, workshops, panel discussions, cultural programs, and group discussions. Delegates participated in guided campus walks, focusing on environmental sustainability, community organization, and healthy living practices.
The program emphasized the importance of youth leadership in promoting sustainability and social responsibility. The delegates learned about the YCS/YSM movement’s history, vision, and methodology, and how to apply it to their daily lives. The thrusts of Voice of the Voiceless, Healthy Living, and Environmental Sustenance were explored in depth, with practical strategies and action plans developed for implementation.
The delegates developed concrete action plans for their respective dioceses, focusing on sustainability and social responsibility. The plans included strategies for promoting environmental conservation, healthy living, and social justice.
The YCS/YSM India IV National Youth Leadership Training Program was a resounding success, inspiring and empowering the delegates to become agents of change in their communities. The program provided a platform for the delegates to share their experiences, learn from each other, and develop practical strategies for promoting sustainability and social responsibility.
Overall, the program was a valuable experience for the delegates, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to promote sustainability and social responsibility in their communities.
The program was inaugurated by Archbishop Anil Couto of the Archdiocese of Delhi. Mr. Roshan Lobo, IYCS Secretary General, was in attendance. The event was organized by Fr. Chetan Machado, YCS/YSM National Chaplain, and Mr. Anson Nazareth, YCS/YSM National President, along with their teams.
Resource persons included Fr. Edwin D’Souza (former YCS/YSM chaplain), Fr. Charles Menezes (former IYCS chaplain), Mr. Manoj Mathew (Delhi), Fr. Stephen Alathara (CCBI Deputy Secretary General), Ms. Jesvita (former YCS/YSM National President), Fr. Franklin D’Souza (former ICYM National Youth Director), Fr. Chetan Machado, and Mr. Anson Nazareth.
