Vianney Deanery YCS/YSM Exposure cum Orientation program held at Christ the King Church, Jogfalls, Diocese of Shimoga.
Shivamogga, July 15, 2024: On July 14, 2024, Christ the King Church in Jogfalls hosted the Vianney Deanery Teens Meet organized by the Youth Commission Diocese of Shimoga, gathering over 80 young students and 15 animators.
The Joga ICYM local committee ensured the event’s success. Fr Salvador Rodrigues, Parish Priest of Christ the King Church, Jogfalls, opened the event with a prayer. Fr Franklin D’Souza, the Shimoga Diocesan YCS/YSM Chaplain, delivered an inspiring keynote address, setting the tone for the day’s activities.
Ms Jesvita D’Souza, the Karnataka Regional YCS/YSM President, shared her personal journey and the transformative impact of the YCS/YSM movement.
The day concluded with the Holy Eucharist, emphasizing YCS/YSM values. Participants were then treated to an excursion to Jogfalls, allowing them to experience the YCS/YSM methodology first hand. This exploration not only fostered camaraderie but also deepened their understanding of the movement’s values. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for all attendees to connect, learn, and grow within the YCS/YSM community.
