Youth & Addiction awareness at Karehalli
Karehalli 25 February: Indian Catholic Youth Movement – ICYM, St Anthony’s Church Karehalli organized a day’s seminar for youth and teens of the unit on February 25 2024. Program began with prayer dance by teens of the unit. Rev. Fr Santhosh Almeda the parish priest and Sr Jayanthi the Superior of the local convent and Ms Smitha Dorthy, president ICYM unit were on the dais.
Ms Supriya Verghese one of the main resource persons of the Diocesan Youth Resource Team and presently serving as National ICYM general secretary enlightened the young minds with present media, addiction in general, effects of addiction on young people and their future also tips to overcome addictions were highlighted in her session.
This awareness program successfully enlightened the young people and generated significant knowledge on addiction.
Unit members honored Ms Supriya Verghes for being elected as the National ICYM general secretary. Program ended with vote of thanks and concluding hymn.
